AKA Furnishes Bruce Dunlop’s New Soho Facility

BDA, (Bruce Dunlop Associates), is the creative agency for media brands and has worked with some of the world’s biggest broadcasters. All of BDA's promotion, branding and corporate production work is undertaken in-house, and last month they moved into brand new offices in Soho’s Marshall Street. The new office has not only given them more space in which to expand their creative offering, but it also gave them the opportunity to redesign and upgrade their editing and audio suites layout.

Furniture design specialist, AKA Design, was commissioned to work closely with BDA,Oakwood Building Services and Absolute CAD to design the technical furniture for this new facility. AKA supplied BDA with 8 offline, 3 online, 2 audio, MCR, linear and voice over desks. Working closely with the agencies creative team, AKA used a slate grey, sand blasted aluminium and opal white finish to create a clean and stylish look which runs throughout the various studios.

Due to the tight schedule of the project, AKA produced a mock up of the off-line desks which enabled Mike Watson from Absolute CAD to prepare the wiring looms off site, thus enabling the installation of all the editing desks to be completed within a week. “Working with AKA has been a pleasure.” says Paul Harvey, BDA’s Head of Post Production & IT. “Their 2D and 3D drawing style and knowledge of equipment has made the design process a smooth one. We gave AKA both a tight schedule and budget, but neither stopped them in delivering excellent quality on time”
